The Care Innovator Award At The Great British Care Awards

The founder of MEDORIS, Brenda Currill, has won national care awards for ‘Innovator in Care’ in 2003, 2008 and 2011 and remains a practising carer.

Award-winning Brenda Currill said:

“With my background in textiles and textile design it has been good to be able to combine that knowledge with the practical knowledge of the needs of individuals who have learning difficulties, dementia, and disabilities, with the result that the MEDORIS products are now solving problems that have been looking for better answers for a very long time. “

She went on to say:

“I have always felt strongly about the need to maintain a high level of dignity and care.  Standards of care in specific instances have received considerable adverse publicity of late.   It is excellent that MEDORIS, with their continually expanding range of products, is able to improve these standards and is being recognized within the care sector for its achievements.”

More information about the products that MEDORIS design and sell can be found on their website, along with an article on the use of micro-beads described by a mother of a child with cerebral palsy.
